We finally have rain. Your grass has most likely wilted and have gone brown. When this happens, your grass isn’t dead. It’s just dormant. Dormancy is actually beneficial to your lawn. It is your turf’s way of shutting down non-essential activities like new top growth and focusing on storing water and energy to preserve the roots and crown. Most grass can remain dormant for 4-5 weeks. This rain will help revive your grass. Our mow crew will be out checking the condition of your lawn. If you have any questions, please let us know.

Drought conditions are stressful to a lawn. For this reason, our mow crew will be out checking your lawn to determine if it is better to hold off mowing. It is best to allow your lawn to go dormant when the weather turns hot and during a water ban.

RC Marc-Aurele Landscaping is open for business. Landscaping is considered an essential service business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. We will continue to provide landscaping services within the guidelines established by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the CDC. We review and update routinely our policies and procedures to ensure we meet CDC guidelines in order to continue to perform these essential services for our customers. We are committed to keeping our employees safe and social distancing is a top priority.

RAIN DAY POLICY
Everyone dislikes rainy weather, so do we; especially during prolong rain periods. In order to keep quality consistent, RC Marc-Aurele Landscaping does not mow lawns on rainy days. The grass will not be in an optimum mowing state. When moisture from rain or the morning dew weighs grass down, the grass blades will bend. This makes a straight cut difficult and the finished cut will probably not be neat and tidy. Not to worry, if it does happen to rain on your scheduled day, we will come back once the weather clears.
HOLIDAY POLICY
RC Marc-Aurele Landscaping will be closed on the major Holidays… New Years Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. If it snows on a major Holiday, we will plow.
DOG POOP POLICY
As a courtesy, please pick up your “dog poop” before we mow your lawn. Dog poop gets stuck in our mow blades and tires which can then be transported to another customer’s lawn.
